OSI

The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) is a general blueprint that guides the understanding and design of computer networks. It partitions the network functionality into seven layers. The layering approach results in a more modular computer network design. It decomposes the design into more manageable components. This animation explains the OSI model as well as its relation to the Internet architecture.
