Firewalls

Firewalls are used to protect a private site from being accessed by a random public user. The firewall should be the only connectivity to the private site from outside. Rules are defined in the firewall by the network administrator of the private site. These rules allow the firewall to identify the network traffic that can be forwarded and the traffic that should be filtered out. In this animation you will learn different ways of setting such filtering rules.
